The Tokyo Monster won the World Championship in a NWA DAWG ring when he became a late entrant for the 8 Man (turn 9 Man) Elimination Match for the World Championship. Kahagas had defended the Championship successfully in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Washington, and the Dominican Republic.
